URSm gets 95%

Fire Officer Alvin Mata gave URS the rate of 95% during his evaluation for the annual Nationwide Fire & Earthquake Drill last June 17, 2010.

                 According to him, the drill was indeed a success for we are able to do it in less than 30 minutes.

                 There are also some additions to what we have conducted last year.

NSTP volunteers and the URS Mountaineers, with the help of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) enacted the rescuing of the victims from the rooftop to the ground through rappelling.

The proper way of carrying the unconscious victim and using the fire extinguisher was also demonstrated.

All students, faculties and staffs of URSM gathered at its quadrangle and exhibited the right way of getting into their respective places.

 Mr. James Pascual , Head of URS Disaster’s Preparedness Brigade, together with his team facilitated the drill
