Laziness nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
-Jules Renald
Are you always striving for hard work, getting things done for a short time but sometimes an element gets on the way? Element such as “laziness” which means you feel like sleeping or resting even though you’re not really tired at all.
We are all guilty of being lazy. It could result to not meeting deadlines of your projects, getting late in school, cramming on exams or being scolded by your parents or elders.
I myself always experience that. Tardiness becomes a habit, yet I’m still struggling to cope it up. It’s really hard to deal with laziness, then after that I’ll realize that I’ve wasted my time,
Laziness is natural to a human being as he/she is easily bored in his environment especially to routines repeated again and again. I always put in mind not to waste my time so that I can overcome this attitude. I’m avoiding in-the-rush activities so I practice discipline and responsibility towards any kind of work. I always try to exert extra effort to finish every task assigned to me when I’m under the influence of laziness. Yes it’s really difficult to fight this attitude when it already runs to our system, ningas-kugon, bahala na and maniana habit come together in a person that lead to getting things undone and postponed.
There’s nothing wrong with relaxing and resting , especially when you have already accomplished your chores. A lively music or a stretching exercise would help you mobilize your body’s energy in making things work according to plan.
Certainly, dealing with this attitude is not easy, but as the saying goes: “Practice makes perfect”.
Another useful thing is to make a list of the things that you want to accomplish, things that excite you. Find ways to simplify or make your tasks easier.
Don’t always let laziness overpower you. Motivate yourself to complete the things that you have to do. Beware that it could be a sign of mental illness or medical condition, but don't overwork yourself. Balance your activities and resting time.
