Facing the challenge

Facing the challenge

Nakakapag aral ka pa ba?
Ano bang napapala mo d’yan?
Mag saya ka naman, may oras ka pa ba?

Those are the frequently questions asked to me by some  of my friends, classmates and even family. Some of them don’t really understand  me. But why am I still aiming for more responsibility?

In my two years stay here in URS I found myself so much engaged  with different organizations, trying to fulfill the responsibilities of an effective leader.

I thought, the value of leadership comes naturally to a person as soon as he/she is designated to a position. Same as I use think that anyone likes writing the way I do and has passion doing it. But I was wrong.

It isn't really so sad to think about it, I am aware that all of us have our own unique capabilities that only us can perform. I simply can’t stand the disagreeable situations around me wherein I know that I am capable of dong something to improve it.

I never wished to be the Editor I Chief, when I enter this university, I only wanted to be a writer of its publication. But then, the calling for service didn't stop from merely being a writer.

Reading an article from a friend who happens to be the Chief Editor of this publication before, gave me the idea of writing this as an initial response to the seemingly challenge to the COS students.

Definitely, College of Science is a seat of intellectual and talented students waiting to be discovered. All we need is to give them the opportunity to unravel those talents.

I am firm with my belief that if we really want to do something, there is always a way. With proper time management, with the support and cooperation of my fellow students and of course with the guidance of our Lord, COS can surely prove its worth.
